Load Warping is a glitch that allows the player to load another save file as they go through a door, placing the selected save file character on the other side of the door instead of the original one. Load warping is a foundational glitch that is important to understand when speedrunning Oblivion since it is used in the process of executing a wide variety of other glitches.

Instructions
# Have two save files. The first save file can be any character, as long as it is in front of the desired door you wish to teleport another character to. The second save file is the character you want to teleport (typically the most current version of a character to avoid losing progress).
# On the first save file, stand in front of the door you want to teleport the other character through, and bring up the pause menu and enter the door on the same frame. You will know this worked if you hear the door opening sound effect, but your character has not gone through the door, and the pause menu is open.
# Load the second save file, which is the character you want to teleport to the location of the door.
# Your second save file will now be in the location that the original save file was supposed to spawn at.

Additional Notes
* In situations where both characters on each save file do not have the proper key/lockpicks required to get through the door, this glitch will not work.
* In situations where you are load warping a character into an adjacent room, such as from the first room of a dungeon into the second room, this glitch may not work.
* Load warping a character into the overworld/outside in cities can cause issues such as doors not being able to be entered.
* The first save file can be any character, even a completely different one from the character you intend to load warp into the next room.

Mechanics
GlitchResearchBox

Activating a door essentially runs a (currently undiscovered) script that places a character in a specific cell at specific coordinates. The coordinates and cell seem to be set immediately upon activating a door, with the spawning of the character being queued to occur after loading into the new cell. However, when interrupting this script by bringing up the pause menu, the game is waiting for the next frame of gameplay to trigger this sequence, so the script will run as soon as the new save file is loaded, applying the script to the wrong file.

Related Glitches
* Saddling - A variation of load warping that also retains the coordinates of the seated character of another file.
* Nude Warping - A load warping technique that results in characters having items unequipped.
* Gate Decoupling - A glitch that utilizes load warping to manipulate Oblivion Gates.
